The Estonian Hotel and Restaurant Association is a representative organisation of employers that is public, voluntary and operates on democratic principles.
The Estonian Hotel and Restaurant Association was established on 12 February 1992 by 16 hotels and restaurants. 99 companies or associations of companies, incl. schools that teach hotel and catering specialties, belong to the Association as of June 2013. Ca. 27% of all accommodation rooms in Estonia and ca. 64% of all accommodation rooms in Tallinn are members of the Association. IGHP - Izba Gospodarcza Hotelarstwa Polskiego
Chamber of Commerce of the Polish Hotel Industry (Chamber) is a self-governing organization, dedicated to the Hotel Industry in Poland. The Chamber represents the Polish Hotel Industry interests in relations with local, regional, national and EU administration. It also provides legal and business guidance to its own members and facilitates contacts between them and many national and international partners.
The Chamber is regularly invited by the Ministry of Sport and Tourism to participate in legislative or regulatory initiatives. It cooperates with leading international consulting companies in matters dealing with legal and regulatory issues which may affect the interests of the Hotel Industry.
The Chamber has been actively promoting Polish Tourism through participation in national and international shows and fairs and also supports various projects related to education of personnel in the Industry.
The Chamber participated in incorporation of Foundation for the Development of Non-Cash Transactions, which objective is to lower interchange fees on credit card transactions. Currently it represents the interests of the Hotel Industry in proceedings dealing with the approval of the compensation tables for the use of copy rights and related rights in hotels.
The Czech Association of Hotels and Restaurants (AHR CR)
The Czech Association of Hotels and Restaurants (AHR CR) is a vocational non-profit organization, whose main objective is to support entrepreneurs in the hospitality and gastronomy areas. The Association´s membership base consists of owners and operators of accommodation and gastronomy facilities from around the whole country, for whom this organization ensures regular and consultancy services. The AHR CR is a member of HOTREC, European confederation of hotel and restaurant associations, and it represents the interests of its members at the European level at the same time. The AHR CR regional sections liaise with the municipalities towards creating publicity and ensuring development of tourism within the regions and towards providing marketing support to its members. Balkan Alliance of Hotel Associations (BAHA)
Balkan Alliance of Hotel Associations (BAHA) is a union of Hotel Associations of the Balkan Countries: Republic of Macedonia, Republic of Albania, Republic of Serbia, Republic of Montenegro, Republic of Romania, Republic of Bulgaria and Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Association’s name is: Balkan Alliance of Hotel Associations – Ohrid.
The abbreviated name is BAHA.
BAHA is a non-governmental, non-profit and non-political organization.
BAHA’s goals and objectives are as follows:
- promotion and development of hotel and catering industry through introducing rules and standards in the operations;
- enactment of and respect for the "Code of Professional Conduct” and its harmonization with the European standards in this area (documents and directives of the European Union);
- establishment and implementation of cooperation with international organizations and associations in the field of hotel and catering industry;
- development of the Association’s cooperation with scientific and educational institutions, as well as entities in the branch;
- representing the interests of Association members before the competent bodies in their respective country and abroad;
- active participation in the enactment and improvement of legal regulations pertaining to the area;
- organizing professional seminars and workshops at national and international level;
- staff education and qualification;
- other common issues.

The Board of Directors includes all the presidents of BAHA member states hotel associations.
President’s and Vice-President’s terms of office are 6 months and shall take place in an order prescribed by the Establishment Act.

The Slovak Association of Hotels and Restaurants (ZHR SR) is the most forceful association of hospitality experts, the voice of hotel and restaurant industry in Slovakia. The Ministry for Regional Development of the Czech Republic
The Ministry for Regional Development of the Czech Republic belongs to the system of
central government authorities of the Czech Republic in the fields delimited by relevant legal
documents. It plays an important role within the State administration through the extent of its
powers, competences and liabilities for the management of financial means.
The Ministry was established with the effect from 1st November, 1996 and has been a central

- renders information and methodical assistance to higher territorial self-governing units, towns, municipalities and associations thereof, and assures the activities relating to the process of involvement of territorial self-governing units into European regional structures.
Ministry of Sport and Tourism of the Republic of Poland
The responsibility for tourism lies with Minister of Sport and Tourism. The minister is responsible for national tourism management, for the mechanisms of tourism market regulation, and also acts as the lead minister on tourism services and is responsible for Polish Tourist Organisation (Polska Organizacja Turystyczna – POT).
POT’s activities primarily include the promotion of Poland as an attractive tourism destination, ensuring the operation and development of Polish tourist information systems at home and abroad, and initiating, assessing and supporting development plans for tourist infrastructure, renovation or reconstruction.
The minister also cooperates with regional authorities (marshals of voivodships) in the file of tourism. At the regional level, marshals are also responsible for the execution of tasks ordered within the framework of the central government’s administration , including those related to tourism services as defined under the 1997 legislation.
The E.H.M.A. was established in Rome in 1974. Its first and foremost aim was and still is,
to foster fellowship and fraternity. It is a non profit making Association of professional Hotel Managers operating first class and luxury hotels of international repute, who are constantly seeking to improve their own qualifications and those of their staff, in order to maintain or better the standards of comfort and service which they offer to their guests. E.H.M.A.’s objectives have expanded along with the Association itself. The membership currently boasts about 430 members, General Managers of the grandest and most prestigious hotels in 30 European countries. In short, this represents 350 hotels, 90,000 rooms and 70,000 employees, with an annual turnover of 6 billion. Today EHMA promotes Europe as a whole through its members in the individual countries, encouraging the development of training and job exchanges.
HOTREC represents the hotel, restaurant and café industry at European level. This industry includes around 1,8 million businesses, of which 99% are small and medium sized enterprises (91% of them micro enterprises, i.e. employing fewer
than 10 people). These businesses make up some 59% of industry value added. The hospitality industry provides some 10.2 million jobs in the EU alone. Together with the other tourism industries, the sector is one of the largest industries
in Europe. HOTREC brings together 42 national associations representing the sector in 27 different European countries
The IH&RA is the only international trade association exclusively devoted to promoting and defending the interests of the hotel and restaurant industry worldwide. It is a non-profit organization and is officially recognized by the United Nations. IH&RA monitors and lobbies all international agencies on behalf of the hospitality industry.
